Classic + with minor balance changes and just some dungeons and raids would be completely unraveled in 2 months, 3 tops. A true Classic + for me would be a totally new game, happening just after Wrath of the Lich King. A timeline where Tirion Fordring strucks The Helm of Domination instead of Frostmourne in the final clash with Arthas at Icecrown Citadel. Arthas is released from Ner'zhul control. There is no more Lich King, the Scourge goes rampant. A new villain emerges and tries to control it. Could be the burning Legion or a powerful Scourge character. Arthas is back and fights alongside us, seeking redemption for his Sins. Arthas would attempt to take Lordaeron back, which could be a raid. The peak WoW lore and our favorite character in a story retold.

Everythin in Retail is so meanigless... especially the open world, where mobs scale with yout item level. It doesnt matter how good your gear is. Ther was a time, where ppl were stronger with less gear equipped... Retail lost me with Pandaria, i never came back. But i played the shit out of Classic :)

exactly my take. I don't care for all these class changes and add-ons. All i wanted was new enemies, new dungeons, some new questlines and new gear (that isn't re-colours). I've seen private servers implement all these things within a few months without any funding. From what I can tell the old version of WoW isn't exactly difficult to change compared to the more recent stuff.

You got era, retail and sod. I prefer sod and if ppl prefer era or retail just play it. Such a work just to bash a version od the game it almost became "cool" to do it.

classic+ is way diffrent from what sod is abou, they made sod to experment as a new thing not as classic+ this shouldent be compaird to anything really, its either you like it or dont :p

I don't think there's much chance we will see the Classic+ we wanted until Cata is well and truly over and IF Classic MoP is canceled

in my mind classic plus was supposed to be sideways content, more level 60 raids etc. there's so much undeveloped areas in wow classic that could have been new raids. modern blizzard simply doesn't get classic wow

as a paladin tank who played classic all i would want for in classic + would be some items that fit the class and a taunt, nothing else... i would even prefer not to get a taunt and other tanks losing their taunt

90% of the playerbase plays Mythic+ because Blizzard doesn't develop for PvP. Nobody plays PvP because Blizzard doesn't develop it. Blizzard doesn't develop PvP because nobody plays it. Self fulfilling prophecy.

Who asked for Rogue tanks? Who asked for healing Mages? Who asked for Shockadins? No one. I quit day one phase 3, it was just to much Retail Minus.

The best thing that has came up from SoD is the faction balance system, that will surely be used in future servers (maybe a Fresh when the "Classic cycle" ends) so the min-maxing morons don't turn all PvP servers into single faction pseudo-PvE servers.

the only thing that will save SoD is what happens at level 60 end game, I'm waiting for Karazhan Crypts. Classic+ wasn't supposed to change the level 1-60 experience it was supposed to add new dungeons/raids and zones at end game, such as Karazhan, Hellfire Peninsula, Emerald Dream, and Hyjal (all of which were supposed to be in the original Vanilla, but they pushed them into TBC) Classic+ was basically supposed to be the end game after Naxx, without a level cap increase and without an expansion.

Okay but just because something was a class of a hero doesn’t make it special. Priests were a unit but priests are just as strong of a concept as any other class. And Illidan was a demon hunter but warlocks have 2 of his spells and priests got mana burn. So it’s meaningless when every “hero class” role and niche is already filled by another class. Hence why DKs and Warlocks both have “death coil”

Whether you agree with it or not, SoD is what the community asked for. 95% of you still want dual spec. You really can't complain.

SoD is garbage because the GM's are garbage. They have no clue at all how to balance or give the players what they're looking for to keep them around. I am a WoW addict; however, I think WoW deserves to flounder. Who really plays SoD and says "Wow, Shamans are very balanced and in a good spot!"

Incursions were absolute dog sh1t. People having 5 level 50s and over 1500g by the end of P3 launch weekend is very unclassic-like. The damage was done and you can't reverse such a catastrophe failure of fukcery.

If they plan on doing classic+, they needed to do SoD to see how far they can push it and gauge player reactions. This is an experiment.

Incursions and refusal to adhere to the hybrid tax killed it for me (when I say hybrids I mean Shaman, Druid, Paladin who can do all 3 roles). I will not be returning for phase 4 because I have no faith in the vision or execution of these devs so I will not waste my time. I'll continue to hold out hope for a proper Classic+ in the future as Xaryu mentioned but this just aint it for me.
